Containers come in the shape of barrels
Containers are Interactable Objects found throughout Eterra.
Mechanics[ | ]
Containers can reward the player with a variety of loot when interacted with. Depending on their rarity, they can have a guaranteed to close to no chance of yielding an item.
Types[ | ]
Breakables[ | ]
Breakables often appear as piled wood, crates, barrels or bones. They can drop loot when destroyed in a single hit, either by using an attack or clicking at it (resulting in the character running up and breaking it). Enemies can also destroy them with their abilities.
Breakables also count as enemies, and therefore they can trigger on-hit, on-kill, and ailment spread mechanics.
Chests[ | ]
Chests are usually scarce, and most of them have a glowing aura. They are found usually in side alcoves or remote locations, and generally drop greater loot when opened. Chests always yield at least one item.
Caches[ | ]
Caches are ornate chests spawn very rarely. Each cache has a unique name and set of dropped items. They get an '!' on the minimap once the player has moved in their close proximity, making for an easier discovery.
One-shot caches appear at various points throughout the campaign, while Lost Caches can spawn in the Monolith of Fate.
