Trading is one of the player activities in Last Epoch which allows players to exchange and acquire Items.

Ways of Trading[ | ]

Vendors[ | ]

Almost all major hubs throughout the World of Eterra feature NPC traders, who offer various items in exchange for gold.

Items can be reviewed in the vendor's inventory that is similar to the player's. They can be bought by putting them into your own inventory, immediately deducting its cost from current gold stocks.

Conversely, owned items can be sold in the other direction, be it a rune, affix shard, key or player equipment. The item price is highly dependent on its type, with common world drops yielding very little gold.

Last Epoch always keeps a history of the last few items sold by the player, across all vendors. These can be re-bought for a much higher price from any vendor's "Buy Back" inventory.

The Merchant's Guild[ | ]

Being a member of the Merchant's Guild, players can list their items for sale, as well as buy existing listings for gold.

Trade is bound to having enough Favor and Rank, with higher ranks enabling a wider selection of items. Merchant's Guild items are marked once traded and they cannot be re-listed.

Gifting[ | ]

Players can gift items each other. The recipient is only eligible for gifting if the sender sends an item that has dropped in a common instance. The gifted item appears in the recipient's specialized inventory titled "Gifts". Gifting incurs no costs from any player's side.

Resonances are one-time-use items that allow gifting any item to a player who you frequently played with, 'resonating' with them. These drop at a very low but deterministic rate, when enough monsters are slain:

  • Golden Resonances allow trading any item, excluding Exalted and Legendary items.
  • Obsidian Resonances allow trading any item.
