Dodge is one of the Character Stats which is used in Combat Calculations to determine whether or not a hit lands. Chance to dodge is not entropic, but is relative to a Locations area level. In The Arena and The Monolith of Fate area level is equal to Character Level, which means the higher one levels, the lower his dodge chance percentage will be with the same amount of dodge.

Dodge Chance Formula[edit | edit source]

The chance to dodge percentage is equal to:

Dodge Chance = {(1 - \frac{1}{\frac{0.1x + 0.001x^{2}}{10 + 0.5a + 0.05a^{2}} + 1})} * 0.8

Where a is the Locations area level and x is Dodge Rating. Dodge chance is capped at 80%.

A rough rule of thumb is area level * 10 in dodge rating will give you ~50% dodge.

Developer's insight on the current dodge formula which scales down with area level :

"[Trasochi : ] Having some sort of scaling (area level or health) is useful from a design perspective because it means players can get a noticeable dodge chance early on, without high dodge chance being too accessible late game."
